Command: PRACTICE
Practice is the way you improve your spells and skills. You must go to
your guildmaster to let him/her help you improve.
If you type practice, you will see which skills you can improve upon, and
how good you already are at these.
You can then use practice , to practice the appropriate skill.
You can practice any spell or skill any amount per level, but you have
to have the stat and level requirements, the gold for the practice cost,
and you have to use the skill before you can practice again.
Examples:
practice armor ; practice the armor spell
practice kick ; practice the kick skill
Certain masters around the world are experts at certain spells and skills.
The guildmasters in Ilthracia know some of the basics, but to become an
expert yourself, you must seek out the masters and be prepared to pay for
their services.
If you are not in the presence of a master, the practice command will
display the spells and skills you currently know. If you only want to
see part of this list, you can supply keywords to limit the display.
Keywords: spells, skills, unpracticed, unlearned, proficiency, descending,
and .
Examples:
practice skills ; shows only skills
practice cure spells ; shows only spells with the word cure
practice unpracticed skills ; shows skills that need practice
practice proficiency descending ; sorts spells & skill by descending prof.
practice prot from evil ; shows the protection from evil spell
