Command: INSET
Topic: GEMS RUNES GLYPHS
The inset command places a magical gem into non-magical
armor or weapons. The armor or weapon cannot have any
bonuses already. Only one gem can be inset into a piece
of armor or weapon.
The inset command can also be used to place a rune on a
weapon that does not have a weapon spell already.
Glyphs can be inset into shields that do not already
offer protection from a spell.
When insetting a gem, rune, or glyph the level requirement
to use the item will rise. The level increase for a rune or
glyph will be shown with the identify command. For a gem,
take the higher level requirement and add one fifth of the
smaller requirement.
