Command: INSET
Topic: GEMS RUNES GLYPHS

  The inset command places a magical gem into non-magical
  armor or weapons.  The armor or weapon cannot have any
  bonuses already.  Only one gem can be inset into a piece
  of armor or weapon.

  The inset command can also be used to place a rune on a
  weapon that does not have a weapon spell already.

  Glyphs can be inset into shields that do not already
  offer protection from a spell.

  When insetting a gem, rune, or glyph the level requirement
  to use the item will rise.  The level increase for a rune or
  glyph will be shown with the identify command.  For a gem,
  take the higher level requirement and add one fifth of the
  smaller requirement.

  inset fire rune on long sword
  inset fire glyph in large metal shield
